South Lake Grill has quickly become our absolute favourite go-to spot for breakfast! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff are always friendly and attentive, and the food… absolutely amazing. Their breakfast menu is top-notch, but the real star of the show is their pancakes — hands down the best in town! Fluffy, perfectly golden, and served with just the right amount of butter and syrup — they’re the kind of pancakes you dream about.

Had amazing brunch here. The menu has so much to choose from and my Uncle says it's all delicious. The service is awesome and quick. Our server was delightful and attentive. She was always making sure we had everything we needed, including coffee refills. I highly recommend for food, service and affordability!

We dropped in for lunch. We ordered the California club and the hot chicken. We ordered 2 orange juices and they came in a large glass for $6. I would have ordered a smaller size. The wait time was 20 minutes. The server was friendly. He asked if I wanted a to go cup for the orange juice I didn’t finish. The food was good. No complaints. I do have one complaint and that is that whenever someone was coming or going, the cold air would come in and make the restaurant colder. I had to wear my coat while eating. I saw other people with a coat on. They should have a heater above the door. They had about 4 TVs with the news on. There was booths on either side of the restaurant. There is plenty of parking and outdoor patio.

We had the pleasure of indulging in the absolutely delightful burgers accompanied by a delightful array of options including soup, fries, or salad, which left us incredibly satisfied. Our lovely waitress, Wendy, exuded an exceptional level of warmth and attentiveness. We consider ourselves truly fortunate to have experienced a rare gem of old-fashioned, top-notch service in the vibrant region of Durham.

Everything required for a classic diner. Quick service great food. The menu is extensive and immediately spotted and old favourite - liver and onions. Perfectly done, knife tender. Heavenly.
